Hook: TMC 5263, #4 - #10 (3x Long Nymph Hook)
Thread: Wapsi UTC Ultra Thread 140 Denier, Brown (color to match fly)
Mono-Eyes: 50 lb Hard Mason, black nail polish
Lead Eyes: Medium to Small Painted Dumbbell Eyes,
Wapsi Presentation eyes painted with Testors paint and coated with epoxy
Antennae: Spanflex (or Round Rubber Legs) Black,
Sili-Legs (color to match body),
Flash Accent or Krystal flash (pearl or color to match fly)
Crawfish Nose: Rabbit Fur
Claws: Hen Hackle or Grizzly Hen Saddle
Dubbing: Whitlock SFL Crawfish dubbing or Sow Scud dubbing
Crawfish Legs: Grizzly Hen Saddle
Crawfish Tail: Rabbit Fur

If you like to fish Crawfish (Crawdad) patterns to trout or Smallmouth (especially Smallmouth Bass) you need to have some Near Nuff Crawfish patterns in your flybox on your next outing. A wonderful pattern developed by Dave Whitlock years ago for chasing trout and Smallmouth Bass in the White River in Arkansas. The pattern is not a "quick" fly to tie but it sure is a lot of fun.
