Carter's Rubber Legged Dragon was originally tied for chasing panfish species. It has proven a great fly for doing just that. It works well in early season as well as throughout the season. It is a straight forward fly to tie and seems to work better the worse it looks! Productive colors are Black and Olive but I think a Crawdad Orange or a Burnt Orange would work well too.

If you have any questions about the tying of this fly feel free to let me know in the comments.

There is also a Step by Step article on DressedIrons.com if you prefer that format.
