The Half-Life 2 Striders are basically what happens when someone goes, "Yeah, we know walkers suck, but what if we could make them scary on top of sucky?" And, in fairness, they seem to have largely accomplished that. Between the weird noises they make, their overall appearance, and their literally-earth-shattering weapons, they seem to trip all of the deep-seated issues you humies have. So congratulations for that guys, I guess.
