The Soft Hackle Pheasant Tail has been around for a long time, and for good reason. It is a proven pattern and one that works under many different fishing conditions. If you look at it closely you will see it is a variant of the Pheasant Tail nymph but it is hard to tell which came first. Regardless, it is a fun fly to tie as well as fish. If you are a soft hackle enthusiast then this would server you well at your vise and in your fly box. - Enjoy
