US-Russia "talks" - UN Kangaroo Court, January 2022

The Pot Calling The Kettle Black - Puppet’s Misinformation Minister televised comments as Russian-US talks take place in Geneva.
I’m just an average US citizen with no expertise other than having a little common sense and the belief in justice, but none-the-less, I am puzzled by the notion ‘negotiations’ can take place concurrent with threats of sanctions based on a predetermined outcome by the UN? Doesn’t that make these “talks” nothing more than a UN Kangaroo Court rather than a genuine sit down where all parties are engaged in honest, unbiased considerations and negotiations bound by a legal contract?
