Walking Amongst Giant Aldabra Tortoises at La Vanille Nature Park, Mauritius

I have never seen so many of these Giant Aldabra tortoises anywhere in the world, not in any Zoo or Wildlife Park.

So this was such a special life-changing experience. Not just to see so many of them all in the one place, but to be able to walk freely amongst these prehistoric-looking creatures. And to be allowed to touch, stroke and feed them. Weighing up to 250kg and some more than 100 years old, truly an amazing experience!
