Temperatures will fall into the single digits west of the Fox Valley. Lower to upper teens will be the lows around the Fox Valley and lakeshore under calm winds. There may be a few flurries overnight Highs will climb into the mid and upper 20s tomorrow with southeast winds at 5 mph. Lakeside locations will climb into the lower 30s. A few flurries are possible during the day. On the last day of 2021, high temperatures will rise to near 30 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. Our attention focuses on a snow storm for New Years Day. Right now, it appears that the heaviest amount of snow in excess of 8+ will fall in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Snow accumulation does appear likely for the southern half of the viewing area, mainly south of Highway 29. Areas like Fond du Lac and Sheboygan may see totals potentially reaching 3-6 inches so this is still a system to watch.
