165 KGs x5 Deadlift
I had to train today at the gym where my job is, as the new lockdown has sent my work schedule all out of wack, resulting in me having to work at times when I wasn't before; which is why I couldn't get my work out in yesterday. I didn't want to miss another day, so I decided to hammer it out here, after my shift was done. I definitely wasn't feeling that strong today; the weight felt way heavier than usual, and this bar is definitely not suited for heavy deadlifting (not an Olympic barbell) the bar is super stiff, so it was super difficult, to get any slack out of it, making breaking the weight off of the floor a lot tougher. The bar also felt way tougher to hold on to, for some reason. I definitely would have had trouble, if I did not bring my liquid chalk with me.
This was not a rep PR, as I have done 5 reps with this weight previously. I definitely could have grinded out a couple more (especially if I did this with my bar), However, I set a cutoff for five reps, and I figured due to the aforementioned factors, I shouldn't potentially tax myself too much. Overall, not a bad day!
