There are 5 spheres of influence in Canada:
- individual
- family
- government
- church
- marketplace

Few will argue that government has expanded its sphere to overtake all of the others over the past 21 months.

Now, as the government doubles down with further restrictions, to the point where it seems like it's March 2020, I ask, where is the church?

I don't expect the church to debate medical, economic or legal issues but I do expect them to debate the moral issues.

- segregation of society
- firing workers for making personal medical choices
- increasing mental health issues, specifically for kids
- government measures impacting small businesses, not big box stores

These aren't easy conversations to have but they must be undertaken if our country is going to heal and move forward.

It is time for the church to find its voice and reclaim its sphere of influence!
