It is surreal and frustrating to hear Canadian politicians talk about the importance of freedom after all they have done over the past two years stripping freedoms in Canada. If state powers are not held in check, the individual suffers. The attack on Ukrainians wishing to live a peaceful life is abhorrent. Similarly, health policies that resulted in Canadians losing their livelihoods and not being able to leave the country are also a drastic attack on individual liberties. Do you think it is important to push back against state overreach, no matter what form it takes, in order to avoid the eventualities of excessive state control?

Nearly three weeks after “allowing” certain people back into society, the health trends continue to demonstrate that it doesn’t matter whether you have 0 doses or 3 doses, everyone can give/receive the virus. When will employers (public & private sector) end their punitive health policies that destroy people’s lives and damage our communities?

The elite are doing everything to hold onto centralized control. The internet (free flow of information) and cryptocurrency (free flow of money) have destabilized their control over the people. A little before Christmas the narrative started to change. Political health officers started suggesting that we should be afforded with more data. They finally thought we should know the real reason people were ending up in hospitals. Why now? Also, politicians have changed their tune recently to suggest that everyone will get the virus and that lockdowns and further restrictions won't have an impact. Why now? What happened to the church? 👇 There are 5 spheres of influence in Canada: - individual - family - government - church - marketplace Few will argue that government has expanded its sphere to overtake all of the others over the past 21 months. Now, as the government doubles down with further restrictions, to the point where it seems like it's March 2020, I ask, where is the church? I don't expect the church to debate medical, economic or legal issues but I do expect them to debate the moral issues. - segregation of society - firing workers for making personal medical choices - increasing mental health issues, specifically for kids - government measures impacting small businesses, not big box stores These aren't easy conversations to have but they must be undertaken if our country is going to heal and move forward. It is time for the church to find its voice and reclaim its sphere of influence!
