Apple Butter Pancakes with Maple Walnut Syrup ~ Christmas Breakfast

Simple enough for any occasion, decadent enough for a special occasion and absolutely perfect for Christmas morning.

1 2/3 c. flour
2 T. sugar
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. ground ginger
1 c. milk
1/2 c. apple butter
1 large egg
2 t. vanilla
2 T. canola oil

Adjustments for waffles:
1 T. baking powder instead of 2 t.
2 eggs instead of 1
1 stick of melted butter instead of 2 T. oil
