HARDWARE ACCELERATION WOES

Hardware Acceleration became the bane of my existence. Actually, a thorn in my side. I would watch videos and about halfway in, the desktop would lock up. I couldn’t move my cursor, close windows, or use Ctrl-Alt-Delete or Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to refresh the desktop. After looking around for a cure to this problem, I found out that it could be that Hardware Acceleration was enabled in my browser. The suggestion was to turn it off. It worked!

Here are some sites that might help to explain in more detail what Hardware Acceleration is and how to turn it on/off for your needs:

Hope this helps you if you’re having the same problem I was having.

Remember our words of wisdom: Don’t drive drunk, don’t drink and drive, don’t buy crap off of Amazon or eBay (or MS Edge?)
because you’re all buzzed up and think you’re getting cool stuff. You’re probably not. Bottoms up, and later dudes!
