The Loneliest Road, Part 2

Join us while we explore the Loneliest Road of central Nevada (US 50) between Austin and Ely. We enjoy the solitude and wide expanse of nothingness, where 80 miles is the shortest distance between towns. We see the sage and juniper slopes of the Toiyabe Range, the ancient petroglyphs of the Hickison Summit, the Old West town of Eureka, the wooded slopes of Pinto Canyon, and the quaint village of Ely. We end this part of our journey at the blustery Ward Mountain Campground, of the Humboldt National Forest.
