P Benitez Maduro 3 Cigar Review

The 3 is as in cubed - triple maduro. This 6x60 cigar features a dark brown wrapper with minimal veins, a couple small blemishes, tight invisible seams, a firm even pack, slight oil sheen, soft tooth, double cap andan oily chocolate and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with excellent smoke output. Medium bodied flavors of a smooth, oily tobacco earth and pepper combo, with a deep musty finish. The first third shows the same flavor profile putting out a prolific amount of rich smoke during and after the draw. Just sitting there it smokes like an incense stick! One minor problem, the wrapper split from a vein a little bit, but it's not effecting the burn at all. It's a very slow burner, only moving an inch every 15 minutes. 1 hour in at the 1/2 way point flavors remain unchanged, the ash just fell off in a solid chunck and the burn is very good. Ending at 1:30 min with 1 inch remaining it was too warm for me. Performance and flavors proved to be very consistent all the way down with no changes.
