P Benitez Churchill Cigar Review
This 6.75x48 cigar features a dark tan oily and firm wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, a few small green splotches and a rich barnyard aroma. First light revels an excellent draw with medium-full body flavors of a dry tobacco with a bit of aged mustiness. The finish is long and the smoke output is very good with plenty of volume on the thick side. The first third brings the body down a touch to mild-medium with just a creamy textured plain tobacco flavor that carries to the finish. Construction is excellent with a perfect draw and burn. 1 hour in just past the 1/2 way point there is no change to the flavor profile. Unfortunately the band is a problem, being very thin and separating when trying to remove it. It also has a lot of glue and is secured to the wrapper, tearing it on removal. Ending it at 1:10 the rest went very hot on the side that tore open, prompting an early stop. With no further flavor changes the cigar proved to be very consistent from beginning to end, typical of a plain connecticut blend.
