The Western States Sheriffs' Association, which represents 17 western states, issued a statement of no confidence in Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. They called on President Biden to fire Mayorkas and find a new DHS secretary who will work with them to rebuild respect for border and immigration law.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy warned Thursday that Democrats will pay the price for their retaliation if Republicans regain control of Congress. Democrats were upset that Rep. Paul Gosar shared an animated video of himself fighting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. So they voted Wednesday to censure him.
