"WE DO IT"
The three words that officially kicked off the remake of perhaps the best game of the Resident Evil series. After the success of the remake of the first game on Gamecube, fans were begging Capcom to give RE2 & RE3 the same treatment. We got a slight taste of it in RE0 (the factory area just before the first Proto-Tyrant boss fight is the same as the original RE2). But for the longest time, the closest we got to a remake of RE2 & 3 was in the lightgun rail shooters, the Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles.

Finally, after what seemed like ages, Capcom finally listened and RE-Make 2 came to be. Much like the first game, RE-Make 2 was not just a simple re-texture job. The game was rebuilt from the ground up with new areas and changes to gameplay. All in all, a great effort from Capcom.
