House lawmakers have introduced new legislation against Big Tech online platforms. On Tuesday, a bipartisan group introduced a new bill called The that would require platforms like Facebook and Google to allow users to view content that is not curated by secret algorithms,forcing transparency in content delivery.

New York BLM co-founder Hawk Newsome said there would be "bloodshed" following a debate on police reform with Mayor-elect Eric Adams during a controversial Brooklyn Borough Council meeting on Wednesday. While Adams found common ground with activists on his plans to fight poverty in the black community, the former NYPD commissioner vowed to bring back the anti-crime unit that was disbanded last year amid widespread police protests.
