Livingston Man Killed in Rollover Accident, LIVINGSTON, November 9, 2021 - At approximately 11:40 am on November 9, 2021, the driver of a silver 2005 Ford Taurus was north-bound on US-59 (South Livingston, just south of the overpass by Boot Barn). According to witnesses, the driver was doing over 100 mph when he clipped the back of an 18 wheeler. This caused the driver, 79 year old Jimmie Cecil Boring, of Livingston, to lose control. Boring left the pavement to the left and rolled. The vehicle rolled multiple times and impacted a column of the overpass as the vehicle came to rest upside down. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, and Officer Tito Reyes with the Livingston Police Department. Reyes was joined by a host of other Livingston Police Officers and Detectives and Constable Pct. 1 Rosario and a Deputy from the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Sadly, Boring died minutes after the crash. One lane of traffic on each side of 59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Justice of the Peace, Darrell Longino, performed an inquest at the scene. Boring was transported from the scene by a first-call car from Pace Funeral Home. The vehicle was recovered by Harwood Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department.
