Walk Like A Man (Four Seasons, The, 1963). Live cover performance by Bill Sharkey, Home Studio, Hawaii Kai, HI. 2021-10-12. "Keeping the Oldies Alive"

Within 5 months of their first entry onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart (08/1962 - 01/1963), The Four Seasons scored 4 top 40 hits of which 3 went to the #1 position; "Walk Like A Man" was their 3rd #1 smash hit (Whitburn, 2013). Hailing from Newark, New Jersey, the group took their name from a NJ bowling alley (Whitburn, 2013). The Broadway hit musical (and Clint Eastwood directed film) (imdb.com, 2021), Jersey Boys, is a homage-biography to Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons (jerseyboysinfo.com, 2021). "Walk Like A Man" was honored by James Henke, chief curator for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as one of 500 songs that shaped rock and roll (davesmusicdatabase.blogspot.com, 2018; infoplease.com, 2017). An interesting trivia note, this song was the first #1 Billboard hit to use a simile in its title (songfacts.com, 2021).
