The Mint Mantid's Journey

After living in my front porch for quite a few days (in autumn of 2019), an adult female mantis decided to depart, and I happened to catch the moment—or rather, the half-hour event—on film. Since she had lived on my porch for so long, I took to calling her “Miss Minty.” This is her journey from the porch to the big tree in front of our house, and this clip is the last I ever saw of her.

Geeky as it may be, I am absolutely fascinated by mantids, so I wanted to share the observations I made of her with any other entomologists (or entomologist-wannabees) out there.
