NIH director resigns amid Wuhan lab funding controversy; Nancy Pelosi drops hint at retirement

Head of NIH, Dr. Francis Collins, has decided to resign and leave public service to continue his research in the scientific field. It is not yet known whether he resigned because he was tired of politics or because of the recent investigation into funding for the Wuhan lab.

There is talk that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may also be considering retirement. Of course before leaving she would like nothing better than to push through the 3.5 trillion dollar budget bill. Although Republican lawmakers are not enough to block the bill, the disagreement within the Democratic Party is giving Biden and Pelosi a headache.
