In 1947, President Truman signed the National Security Act, right after, the CIA was born.

Separated into five directorates, the Agency collects, analyze and disseminates intelligence to top U.S. officials. John R. Stockwell, was a former CIA officer who became a whistleblower of United States imperialist policies after serving seven tours of duty over thirteen years.

This was taped during the conference, Vietnam Reconsidered, Lessons from the War at the University of Southern California, USC, Feb. 6-9, 1983. John Stockwell talks about how they control and manipulate information and use corporate media to spread false information.

The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 (NDAA 2013) removed restrictions on domestic propagandizing. These propaganda techniques are still being used today.
