Top Generals contradict Biden on Afghanistan; NY Governor declares state EMERGENCY as nurses fired

Yesterday, top generals including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin testified at a Senate hearing for the first time since the failed Afghanistan withdrawal. Americans discovered that Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley and Central Command Gen. Frank McKenzie both said they recommended that the U.S. should maintain at least 2,500 troops in Afghanistan and President Joe Biden did get their assessments.
Across New York state, thousands of nurses and other health care workers have lost their jobs or been suspended after refusing to be vaccinated in accordance with the state’s mandate. The mandate, which went into effect on Sept. 27, has led to staffing shortages. However, some of the large hospital systems in the state have said they are maintaining continuity of services.
