The lumbar spine, specifically L4, L5, and S1 are the most commonly injured vertebrae's in the vertebral column. This is typically due to poor posture, breathing patterns, muscle imbalances, and sitting frequently. In this video we will go over some basic anatomy of the core, and how these muscles relate to the lower back. Interestingly, what we call front of our stomachs, is really our back as we see in this video.

The five muscles we went over were:
1) Transverse Abdominus
2) Rectus Abdominus
3) Psoas Complex
4) Internal Oblique
5) External Oblique

In the next video, we will go over intra-abdominal pressure.

The app used was Essential Anatomy
