IL-96-400M the future Russian flagship being developed.

The IL-496 (aka Il-96-400M) is a promising Russian widebody passenger aircraft for medium and long haul flights developed by the S.V.Ilyushin Aviation Complex. The aircraft will replace the IL-96 created in the late 1980s in the Soviet Union. But while IL-496 has not even flown yet, Voronezh Aircraft Plant (VASO) continues to produce IL-96-300 with Russian PS-90A engines. And at the same time an option of creating a twin-engine version of the aircraft is being considered.
