Aliens: Fireteam Elite - Phalanx Kit Gameplay (HD)

A gameplay video of the new Season 1 "Phalanx" kit / class in Aliens: Fireteam Elite on stage 6, "Giants In The Earth: Evacuate". It's "okay", I guess. It's most useful against Synthetics since you can be really aggressive and take unlimited fire from them with no issue, but since they're in a minority of the game, it loses a lot of utility in MOST missions. While it's nice to have your shield, there's usually plenty of cover anyway, and you lose an extra ability that can quickly dispatch enemies eg overclock, a turret and so on. Also, if you're not fully paying attention, it's very easy to take fire and not realize you're vulnerable until you've taken quite a lot of damage. Still, getting up-close and personal for high damage with a shotgun for example, is pretty nice. It's a fun time overall!
