Oregon police SUES governor over vaccine mandate; Taliban holds Americans hostage in Afghanistan

Gov. Kate Brown’s executive order on Aug.13th imposed a mandatory vaccine on all state executive branch employees, citing the Delta variant, the imminent FDA approval at the time, and that both private and public employers in the country have mandated the shots.

Republican lawmaker Michael McCaul ranking member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee said the Taliban isn’t allowing Americans to leave an airport. Six airplanes, while some sources say four, carrying Americans and Afghans have been sitting at the Mazar-i-Sharif Airport in northern Afghanistan for days. But they can’t leave because the Taliban is holding them hostage for something in exchange.
