Sierra Trek 2021 --What's Air Pressure????? Long, 12 Hour Day...Helicopters and More.

We signed up for this year's Sierra Trek on The Fordyce Trail in Northern CA. It was our first time ever doing an organized run, but not the first time we've run Fordyce. It has been about 9 years since running it in our 1990 Jeep YJ Wrangler and probably more than 13 years prior to that. The JK has never been on it and I have never been in the driver's seat on this trail.

Fordyce Trail is a HARD trail - probably harder than The Rubicon Trail. I preferred Fordyce over The Rubicon because it has a lot less off camber spots.

We started the trail around 6:30 am and as you'll see, we encountered some situations that left us on the trail for 12 hours before we made it to Meadow Lake.

Sierra Trek was a great experience and was very well organized. (Besides actually finding the trailhead.)
