Arizona Driving through Flash floods on Hwy 84 towards Gila Bend pt 2

Following the flooded highway, not seeing any cars coming towards me anymore. I get the feeling that there is trouble coming up. I am truly curious about what I’ll find. Passing some flooded areas where cars have stopped along the side of the road, but it looks passible, so I keep going. No problem so far.
Until I reach an area with a number of cars, and Semi trucks in the middle of the road. Oh!! OH! I gotta see this! Creeping up on the side of the road, I get to the blockage. Not just a stream, a full-fledged river across the road. Branches floating across the road due to the strong current. I’ll record it for a bit, but I see bigger trucks than mine sitting on the side of the road. I’ll just turn around and record the trip home too.
During the late Summer in Arizona, there are frequent messages on the radio and even sent to your cell phone, warning of flash floods on the area. Please be careful, and please don’t drive through any water where you can’t see the bottom. This makes me curious, so I went out for a drive to find these flash floods. Driving West from Maricopa to Gila Bend on Highway 84 is well known for frequent flash floods.
I mount my Gopro camera on the roof of the truck and head out looking for flash floods. Take a look at what I found. I may make 3 or 4 videos on this because of the number of rivers running across the road.Show more
