Some private universities in the country are taking extraordinary measures to push students to get vaccinated. Quinnipiac University, a private liberal arts college in New Haven, Connecticut, announced new penalties on Aug. 16th to some 600 students who have neither provided proof of vaccination nor requested an exemption.

As schools struggle to get more students vaccinated, a third shot is coming. A joint statement by several top federal health officials, including the directors of the CDC, the NIH, and the FDA say America will begin distributing COVID-19 booster shots starting Sept. 20th.
