Washington Driving Backroads Ravensdale Small town America

Every now and then you just have to go for a Sunday drive. This was on a Tuesday, but I won’t complain.
In no hurry to go anywhere, just wanting to enjoy the drive, Ravensdale is a small town South and East of Seattle. Beautiful forested area quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Back in the late 1800’s this was a boom town, a logging paradise. Back in the late 1800’s Lumber was in such high demand that it was almost as expensive as gold. If you owned a lumber mill, you owned your own printing press for money.
The need for lumber spurred on a lot of the small towns in this area, brought the rapid expansion of the railroads, and helped bring on the big Coal boom to fuel the railroads. I bet the families settling this area never imagined what their new town would look like 120 years later.
Please let me know what you think in the comments section below.

I generally put out a new video on Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week.
