SANTA MONICA, CALIF. — 2021 Gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder addressed the state's massive homeless crisis that has resulted in many homeless criminals ruling the streets. "You're going to go to work or you're going to jail. You can choose one!" said Elder in regards to homeless capable of working but unwilling to do so.

"Why are we allowing this? Why are we putting up with this?" Elder asked.

Elder also addressed homeless suffering from mental health and institutionalizing those a danger to themselves and others, as well as getting homeless camping on the streets in a compassionate way.

"But they will get up off the street," said Elder.
