In this video, I work on a Harley Davidson kick starter assembly mostly accurate to the way the 1940 to 1951 era kick starter assemblies looked, Which is accurate for my 1940 UH restoration, But the kicker assembly internal assembly process is pretty much the same for all big twin 4-speed's from 1936 to 1984 other than a few parts which I talk about. So starting off with the introduction of model year specific parts and then move in to building the sub-assembly and then show how it gets installed to the transmission, So sit back and relax and watch this very interesting and informative step by step process on how to build a kick starter sub-assembly for any 1936 to 1984 Harley Davidson transmission. Hope you enjoy, Also be on the lookout for Part: 3 transmission build when we finish building this transmission. Which is coming soon also.
