What is your favorite quote? And, what did your parents/ guardians teach you about life?

This little bird landed near the angel statue after his unsuccessful attempts to get food from the feeder. The rain did not bother him, nor did the lack of food. He is a good reminder of some of my dad’s favorite quotes: “Get over it” and “S-@$ Happens”. The bird is a perfect reminder on this day, for my dad, who taught me to value hard work and to appreciate the people who fought for our freedoms.
