Artfully Inspired - featuring Dean Cornwell
ARTFULLY INSPIRED highlights classic and modern art books that I have collected over the years. This "Off the Studio Shelf" series consists of precious books kept in my art library that I continue to learn from, ever inspiring me to be a better artist.
In this episode we explore a sampling of the wonderful artwork and draftsmanship of the "dean of illustrators", Dean Cornwell. I highly recommend this book as well as a few other books on Cornwell's work, which I can highlight at another time. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned professional artist you will benefit from knowing Dean Cornwell's work. A GREAT American painter and illustrator from the early 19th Century. He also studied under other famous artists of the day to better hone is craft. Never stop trying to increase your understanding of the FUNDAMENTALS OF ART, and learning how to be the best artist you can be!
I'm sharing these videos with you specifically for your artistic inspiration and educational entertainment.
