The Lord's Prayer - a Christian Rosetta stone

The only set of prayer instructions in how to pray to our God, the Father, was provided to us from God, the son. Most Christians learn the prayer and articulate the words and different phrases at a pace which may seem to others as fast mutterings. However, the prayer is meaningful in word, phrase and concept. The prayer is best read slow, in which every word should be considered for meaning. It contains all the major principles of the New Testament and is more like a summary of the message of the kingdom of heaven, than a mere prayer. It indicates where our Father presently resides, heaven. It differentiates heaven from the kingdom of heaven, in which it indicates heaven exists now, and the kingdom of heaven has yet to come. It indicates his "will be done" (future) ... "on earth" (new earth) ... "as it is in heaven" (present heaven). It indicates how often we should be thinking about our Father (daily), and when (every time we eat and drink). It delineates one of our Lord's most important will components ... forgiveness and repentance. It reminds us that although he won't directly endanger us, he will allow us to walk into dangerous devil tempting situations. And finally, it indicates to who the kingdom of heaven will be created for, our Father.Show more
