Do you truly love me? - June 20, 2021

The Bible teaches that you should love God with all your heart, soul, and strength (Deut. 6:5). But how much do you truly love God? In John 21, we find the story of one of the encounters that the apostles had with Jesus after his resurrection. After they had eaten, Jesus asked Peter if he truly loved him. In fact, Jesus asked Peter the same question three times. Or did he? In reality, there is something going on in this dialog between Jesus and Peter that is hidden in our modern translations. Let’s take a look at this passage and see how it applies to our lives today.
