Spider Walk Guitar Exercise Day 20
Day 20 of the Spider Walk Guitar Exercise
Something that I realized today - back when I started my fingers were tiring quickly, and by the time I was done practicing they felt sore and stiff. I'm beyond that now, now it feels like I could do this all day without any pain afterwards, so that's another area of progress I'm thankful for.
I'm on a mission to practice this for at least 15 minutes each day and see how much my finger independence (which is currently TERRIBLE) will improve. I'm doing it fairly slow at only 80bpm and will only increase the speed when my accuracy and consistency improves. I've still got HUGE problems with accuracy and consistency in both my fretting and picking hands, but finger independence has improved a whole lot. When I first started this on Day 1 (which I don't have on video), fingers 3 and 4 were always moving together and I could hardly keep the strings down. I still have to make effort to keep the strings down but its much easier than before - my finger strength has certainly increased over the past 2 weeks.
