Tired of hearing the SAME THINGS over and over again, when it comes to a relationship (particularly a familial one) that's on the rocks?

TOUGH!

You may or may NOT understand it, but you can pretty much be ASSURED, others have lived through what you're going through AND WORSE.

Thing is, while maybe you're still in it, THEY'RE ON THE OTHER SIDE. They've been there, done that, and generally MOVED ON.

Maybe they did things in good ways, maybe not. That said, you can COUNT ON the idea they have nuggets of wisdom to pass on.

My life hasn't been particularly difficult, that DOESN'T MEAN there haven't been thorny patches I've had to navigate along the way.

Believe me when I tell you, there are things I've done along the way I can NEVER TAKE BACK. The result, is that "advice to reconcile" when you're estranged.

That DOESN'T MEAN, "Cede power to the person you're mending your relationship with." It DOES mean, "Try to find ways to work things out in an amicable fashion."

Am I saying that'll be easy? By no measure am I doing so. That said, you'll GENERALLY FIND IT MORE THAN reasonable to take that advice.

This is the subject of this edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
