Oregon Following the Lewis and Clark trail next to the Columbia River

Driving down this highway, every now and then you see a sign denoting that this is the path that Lewis and Clark traveled to find safe passage to the West coast of the “new land” from the Louisiana purchase. Imagine in 1804 these guys and their small group traveled over 8,000 miles going at about 1 mile an hour. I find myself deep in thought as I’m traveling at 70 miles an hour on conveniently paved roads in an air conditioned truck. Progress is great.Show more
