A teenager was chased and stabbed by a gang wielding what appeared to be illegal foot-long ‘zombie’ knives in London’s Hyde Park on Tuesday.

Police were called at around 9pm to the incident, which happened in full view of people enjoying the hottest day of the year in one of the city’s most popular parks.

Video shows the male being chased by a group carrying long knives and poles. He’s eventually knocked to the ground, where he is apparently stabbed before the gang run off.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, ‘Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. They found a male suffering from stab injuries. He has been taken to hospital for treatment. At this time, the victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.’

It was the fifth knife-related incident in four days in London, including the murders of a 55-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, plus the stabbing of a police dog.
