Dragnet: The Werewolf

Originally aired June 17th, 1949

Friday and Romero go on the hunt for a man who has beaten and robbed eighteen young women. All they know is he is big, hairy, and ugly...like a werewolf.

Dragnet is perhaps the most influential police procedral drama in history, portraying both the boredom and the danger of police work. Even decades later, elements of the show are familiar to those who have never seen or heard the show (such as the four-note musical introduction {titled "Danger Ahead," composed by Walter Schumann) and the infamous phrase, "Just the facts, ma'am" (though the precise phrase was never actually uttered by Joe Friday).
