Bolen Bluff Trail Hike South of Gainesville Florida on US 441
On my way back home from the Gainesville Florida Veteran's Administration I stop by the Bolen Bluff Trail for a short hike. Enjoy the trail with me and if you ever find yourself on 441 just North of PAYNES PRAIRIE PRESERVE STATE PARK give this trail a hike. Or search on the park address of 100 Savannah Blvd., Micanopy FL 32667 and then travel a few miles North on 441. From: https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/paynes-prairie-preserve-state-park/experiences-amenities-0 - the 2.6-mile round-trip trail is named after a family of pioneer settlers who lived on the south rim or bluff of Paynes Prairie. The trail leads to a wildlife viewing deck after it passes beneath the shady canopy of a hardwood forest dominated by large oaks - the most impressive of which are Southern live oak.
