Your car is spying on you and your insurance rates could double as a result. This is not because you are a bad driver, had many accidents, but because of parameters the insurance companies use as and excuse to increase your premiums. Car companies like GM, Ford, Mercedes-Benz are giving this information to data brokers which you granted permission to with APPS like OnStar. Even @elonmusk #Tesla is implicated in this data broker nightmare. What could happen? Your insurance rates might increase or double. Perhaps your driving habits are being reported to law enforcement. Maybe there are Federal government husbands (employees) who can spy on his ex-wife's car movements. This insidious invasion into our privacy must end. No car should be allowed to transmit data back to car companies for profit. This is the new world we all live in.

Let's make fun of the well-dressed, polished commentators that regurgitate the deficient, lack-of-direction, cyber security action items that were hear over, and over again, reiterated by our corrupt media, for-profit talk radio, for-profit corporations and the secretive spying governments. Think about how many times you have seen and heard these facts by the polished talking heads! 1) Use anti-software. 2) Use a software firewall. 3) Keep software up-to-date and download and install software updates for your operating system (OS) and applications as they come available. 4) Regularly changes passwords and protect them. 5) Send only password protected documents in email. 6) Know who you are dealing with. 1 in 100 search links offered by Google will install, or attempt to install, malware on your internet device. 7) It you are shopping or banking online only use encryption (https) sites. 8) Don't open an attachment or blindly click on links in an email, even if you know whom it is from. The NSA records everything you and your children do on the infected Internet for your entire lifetime. Edward Snowden revealed some of the various NSA techniques which I documented in my 2016 book. Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day! Amazing how Vladimir Putin was one one the few world leaders who spoke about this important day today. Where was Biden for example? In this video I cover everything that dealer can not tell you about driving and taking care of your Toyota Prius Prime. First off we need a outdoor GFCI direct line to the circuit breaker box (dedicated circuit, page 132-133 of OM). We then need to learn about all the driving modes and what the mean. Lastly, you need to learn how to take care of your hybrid battery and fuel system. -- Page 88 on HV mode: Switching to HV mode when driving on a highway or when driving uphill is recommended in order to conserve battery power. My take on this is you should use HV mode on long trips, in hilly or mountainous regions, or in very hilly cities. This will put less strain on the battery and will prolong its life and use. -- Page 105 of Owner's Manual--Using Eco drive mode: Primarily using Eco drive mode, the torque corresponding to the accelerator pedal depression amount can be generated more smoothly than it is in normal conditions. My take on this is you should use Eco mode for stop and go city driving as it is easier on, and can prolong the life of your Prius Prime transmission. -- Page 104 of Owner's Manual--Notice about fuel: For plug-in hybrid vehicles, fuel may remain in the tank for a long time and may undergo changes in quality depending on how the vehicle is used. Refuel at least 5.3 gallons (20L) every 12 months. Not doing so may affect components of the fuel system. My take on this is operate in RV mode sometimes to burn fuel keeping at least 5.3 gallons or more in the gas tank at all times. -- Page 143 of the Owner's Manual--Charging the hybrid/traction battery: Leave a low level charge in the hybrid/traction battery when leaving the vehicle undriven. Use the charging schedule as much as possible in order to fully charge the battery immediately before starting off. My take on this is only charge the battery 1/2 to 3/4 capacity if you are not immediately planning to drive the vehicle in EV mode. This will prolong the life of the hybrid/traction battery. The dash has multiple indicators you can watch where you can stop charging at 60 to 80 percent of battery capacity.
