Market Crash or Correction? | Three Minutes on Markets & Money [5/27/21]

(5/27/21) Markets perform exactly as expected, remaining in a broad, consolidation pattern, working off its "over-boughtedness." What happens as we move into Summer? Expectations are for a bigger correction (5-10%); weekly and monthly over-bought conditions persist. A bigger question will be over what the Fed decides to do with interest rates. Disappointing numbers on earnings and economic growth could be catalysts. Interest rates will be the tell-tale signal to wathch--if they begin to decline, deflationary pressures could be coming into play.
