Father who went viral for trying to distract children during Gaza bombings dies

Ahmad Mansi, a Palestinian father who recently went viral after posting videos of him trying to keep his children calm during an aerial bombardment, has recently been killed in an airstrike in Gaza, according to reports.

The viral footage shows his children playing with toys as the sound of an airplane thunders above them – sending the girls running for shelter. Mansi comforts the kids. ‘Don’t worry, OK? Keep playing,’ he says before he stops filming.

A Twitter user posted that both Mansi and his brother had been killed by an Israeli airstrike just two days after he posted the video on May 12th. A human rights group confirmed that a pair of brothers with the same name were killed on May 14.
