Going to the dogs

It’s all going to the dogs
it’s worse than it was before
Food and gas prices going up
intentions will keep us poor

Tighten your belt then tighten again
the rich are making more
Less food to eat, can’t drive anywhere
or afford to go to the store

We’re treated like dogs
kicked like never before
Abused and “shot”
surrender in this war

Out in the streets
fighting whatever for
Wounded and dead
bloody and so much gore

Frightened and scared
insecure to the core
Losing everything
can’t lose anymore

Why don’t we stand
give out a roar
Stand and be counted
at last a worthy chore
