Spot on Wednesday 5-5-21

I’ve had the rug pulled out from under me a time or two.

Kind of gives you a funny visual but you’re left standing on the bare concrete floor if you haven’t completely fallen to your behind.

With an initial immense feeling of relief I found myself standing in the middle of a rented tradeshow booth with only the items I was able to carry from the airport.

A containerized popup display and some rolled up pictures with Velcro fasteners.

Every booth around me was dressed to show but I was destine for the shanty town.

It started to sink in that I was solo on this one and it was up to me to recover from someone else not doing their job.

Considering at that time everything was a façade I got to work and made some decisions I knew we not going to be popular but my personal integrity and the companies brand was on the line.

I learned a lot from that show but the biggest lesson might not be what you think…

There may be things that are completely out of your control but how you react and your attitude wins every time! #dbrn
