Real Faith

There is a branch of professing Christianity, which is not Christianity at all, that emphasizes the necessity of personal faith in order to make things happen according to one's own desires. It is known variously as 'Word of Faith', 'Hyper Faith' and 'Name it, Claim it' among other distinctions. While very popular in charismatic circles it is not at all biblical Christianity but rather, is what is known as 'Fideism', or 'faith in faith', the epistemological concept that one's own faith in a thing will bring that thing to pass. It is, in reality, a concept that is both idolatry and witchcraft, not Biblical Christianity, and sadly it is everywhere..
